Thin-film platinum temperature sensors Hayashi Denko Pt 100, Pt 500, Pt 1000

General characteristics

The thin layer of platinum is scalded over the ceramic substrate. This layer is structured by photolithography and using a laser beam the sensor resistance is accurately set to the nominal value of the sensor (Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000).

The active layer is isolated by a layer that protects the sensor against both chemical and mechanical damage. The drop fixing two 10mm gold plated nikel  outlets of a rectangle profile is also made of ceramics. The size of the ceramic plate depends on whether it is a Pt100 or Pt500 and Pt1000 sensor. The Pt100 sensor size is 2,0x5,0x1,0 mm and 1,6x3,2x1,0 mm for Pt500 and Pt1000 dimension is 2.0x5,0x1,0 mm.
There are class of accurracy A nad B sensors available.

The stability of sensors:

The deviation from normal at 0 ° C is up to 0.008 W, ie. maximum of 0.02 ° C for continuous use at 400 ° C for 300 hours, The manufacturer recommends the use of sensors in the range from - 50 ° C to + 500 ° C. In practice, it seems ideal (in terms of linearity) range from 0 ° C to 400 ° C for Class A and from 0 ° C to 500 ° C for Class B.

Quality ispection and selection:

The advantage is a 100% quality inspection. The result is a fine sorted sensors (accurate to 0.01 W) into a 10-pieces subgroups within each class of accuracy. The basic packaging is 10 pieces. Each basic package is listed in the resistive value of W at 0 ° C.

The customer receives almost the same accuracy class of the sensor. This results to time saving, effort and thus the reduction of additional costs of the application.

Each delivery comes with a certificate of quality inspection attached.

The sensor type can be deduced from its name:

₍₁₎CRZ - 1632 - ₍₂₎100 - ₍₃₎B - ₍₄₎1

(1) CRZ-1632 = sensor model, that expreses its size, 1,6x3,2mm in this case
(2) 100 = resistance value
(3) B = class of accuracy
(4) 1 = messuring current (mA)

CRX series

CRX sensors are CRZ encapsulated in ceramic roller.
CRX- 2805 (Ø2.8x5mm) contains 1,6x3,2mm sensor
CRX- 3208 (Ø3.2x8mm) contains 2x5mm sensor

Outlets of these sensors are made of palladium. Recommended operating temperature range is from -50 ° C to +300 ° C.
